Numerous fashion shows took place last week showcasing designer Spring 2015 Couture Collections. Looks on the runway were brilliant this year. Each fashion household not only presented their designs in a theatrical way but they all brought something different, establishing new trends. Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld artistically adorned models in bright, pastel ensembles, coordinating some with crafty netted veil beanies. Similar to the Giambattista Valli show where models also rocked mini veils. At the Atelier Versace show, several unique, skin revealing, well tailored frocks were exhibited that you’ll be sure to see on the red carpet in a few weeks. Bouchra Jarrar’s collection surrounded edgy biker apparel and Christian Dior models brought fashionable transparency to the scene as some walked out in desirable plastic outerwear garments. There were more fantastic shows including Schiaparelli, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Maison Martin Margiela. I did not attend but by reading reviews and viewing photographs, I truly enjoyed everything the designers had to offer.
