Karl Lagerfeld released that the debut of his short film ‘Once Upon A Time…’ will be out May 8th, and i am so excited to see this! We’ve been given a sneak preview clip lasting only 45 seconds which shows Keira Knightley starring as the one and only Coco Chanel, the film also stars other actresses such as Clotilde Hesme, Stella Tennant and Lindsey Wixon. The film will be shown first in Singapore, 8th May, 100th anniversary of the opening of Chanel’s first boutique in Deauville.
It was such an honour to create these illustrations for @puma and Karl Lagerfeld’s first collaboration since Karl’s sad passing earlier this year. The background is based on the Karl Lagerfeld offices in Paris and if you look very carefully, you might even be able to see Choupette in the window, waiting patiently for Karl.
Who do you think did a better interpretation of Scottish tartan and other motifs…Karl Lagerfeld with Chanel pre-fall 2013’s Edinburgh collection or Alexander McQueen’s fall 1995 ‘Highland Rape’ collection? My personal thoughts are that Alexander McQueen trumps!
This week has been a garbage week of garbage things happening and it’s all just piling up and creating a giant garbage mountain and it’s all a bit much and I’d like it to please stop. BUT, since that isn’t how the universe works, and it’s snowing today (again) covering all that garbage in a layer of white nonsense, which is just adding to my irritation… here’s the list of shit I read this week.
