Prompt: (DR2 spoilers) Mind If I have a scenario where the reader, in chapter 3, walks in on Mikan after she murder the reader’s best friends Hiyoko and Ibuki. The reader snaps and attacks Mikan, killing her and becoming the new blackened. (Sorry if it’s much.)

You had just walked in to the med bay. You yawned, walking over to the monitor you had been left with in case someone needed to contact you, or vise versa. Hajime, understandably tired from his incredibly early shift, gave you a pat on the back as he walked out, presumably to head the motel for some much-needed sleep. Everyone was on edge due to the three students who fell ill to the despair disease, so having someone in the hospital with them seemed like a good idea. Just as you sat down, the small screen of the monitor lit up. Did someone need something? Walking over to the monitor, you saw not the face of another student asking a question, but instead the dimly lit stage of the performance venue. Just as you thought that, perhaps, someone had accidentally turned it on, someone in a medical gown with a hemp bag over their head walked into view. That’s when you noticed it: a noose. As the figure climbed a ladder to the tied rope, the video cut off.
There was no time to think about getting the others, helping whoever the figure was is way more important! Rushing over to the Titty Typhoon, you slammed the doors open, only to see the body hung from the ceiling. There’s no denying- it’s Ibuki. You recognize her hair peeking out from under the bag almost instantly. She’s not struggling. Not breathing.
You begin to rush out to tell the others, but thats when you hear it. A ripping noise. Turning back into the venue you see something that nearly makes you physically ill.
Mikan is in the middle of tearing wallpaper off of Hiyoko’s corpse. She doesn’t seem to notice you enter the venue again, however. You should feel anguished. So why are you not feeling upset anymore? There’s just… nothing. Nothing you can say to bring them back, nothing you can feel that’ll help the situation. Ibuki and Hiyoko are dead, and aren’t coming back. And in that moment, you realize: revenge may not help, but it’ll definitely feel fucking good.
As quietly as you can, you stride towards Mikan, who is trying to crumple up the wallpaper she ripped off. You notice that the knife she presumably used to slit Hiyoko’s throat is on the floor in front of her. Convenient, but you’ll have to get it before she can. Just as Mikan stands up straight to throw out the wad of paper, you lunge at her and pin her to the ground. She struggles, but the knife is in reach and it’s not difficult to stab her in the back- literally. In your moment of rage, all you can focus on is that this is your way of avenging them. This is what she deserves. It’s only when she goes still underneath you that you realize she was screaming. And you left the door open.
So in the (very VERY) long hiatus TFD was on, I started reading JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Needless to say I fell in love with the series. I promise not all my new texts I write will be like this but I wanted to do something silly to get back into the groove of things. I hope you enjoy regardless.
Pictured is our mystery individual from the very end of the Danganronpa V3 trailer. Unfortunately, it is impossible to ascertain who she might be from this snapshot alone. She appears to be a student of Hope’s Peak academy based on the characteristic brown blazer.
While I do not want to jump to wild conclusions based on a single fuzzy image, if I had to speculate on her identity then I would wager that she is Nanami Chiaki, based solely on the fact that she is the only previous character that wore clothing with oversized sleeves. Of course, this would be a rather hard pill to swallow given her status as an intangible AI and subsequent “death” in Super Danganronpa 2.
