Wow.

I was not expecting to take a 2-week break from the blog.

I’m learning to listen to my heart and brain and just take breaks when I need to, and this last two weeks, I just haven’t felt like blogging.

Whenever I thought I should, I’d just load up Phoenix Point instead (what an amazing game on Steam!)

We’re almost to the end of my Top 25 games played of all time, 2022 edition, and there may have been a few surprises.

I know there have been some new games, and some games have fallen drastically from their 2019 ranking.

I feel bad about that somewhat, but one thing I think I did in 2019 is over-estimate some of the newer games that I had played at the time.

Or maybe I just hadn’t played that…

It’s no secret how much I love Architects of the West Kingdom.

Even with my top 4 games being GMT Games, Architects still managed to get into the Top 5 games played of all time for 2022.

I’m a Garphill Games fanboy.

I love almost everything they’ve produced (though I’m not a rabid one, as there are a few of their games that I’m not interested in, and I am not a big fan of Explorers of the North Sea).

Since my “Top 25 Games Played of All Time” series in 2019 was predicated on my having played almost 300 games, I thought that 2022 would be a good time to update that list.
