It’s February and I actually did an early game in our Combat Commander ladder, led by the superlative Patrick Pence, the man behind the Patrick’s Tactics & Tutorials Youtube channel.
The ladder has been a fun way to play Combat Commander live once a month, rather than just the Play-By-Email (or in this case, Discord) games with my good friend Michal.
I lost yet again last month, which means…
It’s getting really hard to keep up with cancel culture and knowing which authors/books I should not read which movies I shouldn’t watch which actors I shouldn’t like and which companies I shouldn’t buy from. Like can I still enjoy Harry Potter (not that I like it but it’s the first example I could think of) or do I Jane to throw away books and movies and never express interest again?
Like can someone guide me on how cancel culture works cus I’m hella confused. Should I feel bad for liking and reading books from canceled people? I’m so confused. And yes I hate JK Rowling even though I never got into her books/movies anyway
I just want to be a good person in life but cancel culture is so confusing! I need it explained to me
I’m literally confused and asking I’m not calling anything stupid or bad or taking a side I agree we shouldn’t send bad people money but can I still read their books if I get it from a thrift store or yard sale?
Like if steven king came out right now saying something transphobic would I be a bad person advocate if I told people to read Cujo cus it’s a good book? Or would I be bad for reading Cujo?
This is just an example Steven king isn’t bad he’s great he’s not transphobic as far as I know
Steven King could go either way depending on if you’re aware of that scene in IT, and I’m sure there’s others too that I’m unaware of.
If you still like Harry Potter (as you said easy choice) there’s noting wrong with that, if you need to compartmentalize and file the creator in a different cabinet from their creation that’s fine too.
Got a couple bands like that on a mental list.
Cancel culture changes it’s rules every week and you’ll give yourself an aneurysm trying to keep up with it. it’s become such an overbearing situation that we’re running into things like a college taking Abraham Lincoln’s name off of a building, because he was racist, to which I say, no shit 99% of the population was racist can you not apply current year moral standards to historical figures please.
we crossed the point where it should be something of concern instead of something to be mocked a while back, just got a few holdouts left, and for them the plan is to bring back shaming them for being horrible people
Cancel Culture, is a curious game, the best way to win is not to play.
First of all, Ciampa shouldn’t be hitting the air raid from that height into the tables right after he returned from a neck injury. I love Ciampa even more now.
Second of all, Adam Cole wasn’t moving after that. Is he dead? Is he ok? Somebody answer me please!!!

Team Ripley(Rhea Ripley, Candice LeRae, Tegan Nox and Mia Yim) vsTeam Baszler(Shayna Baszler, Bianca Belair, Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray) in WarGames: Team Ripley winning could setup a title match between Baszler and Ripley in the near future. Winner: Team Ripley.
Pete Dunne vs Damian Priest vs Killian Dain in a Triple Threat Match to determine No. 1 Contender for NXT Championship at Survivor Series: Adam Cole being a heel I see Pete Dunne winning the match to face Cole at Survivor Series. Winner: Pete Dunne.
Finn Balor vs Matt Riddle in a Singles Match: I’m sure it will be a great match but the result is obvious isn’t it? Winner: Finn Balor.
Team Ciampa(Tomasso Ciampa, Keith Lee, Dominik Dijakovic and mystery partner) vs The Undisputed Era(Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Kyle O’ Reilly and Bobby Fish) in WarGames:Now this is complicated. The Undisputed Era is looking absolutely unstoppable heading into WarGames. On the other hand, Keith Lee pinned Roderick Strong. A win for Team Ciampa means both Lee and Ciampa will propelled into NXT singles title picture. As for the mystery partner, I’m going to go out on a limb and say its John Morrison. I don’t want to watch Undisputed Era lose two WarGames in a row but that seems to have the edge. Just because I want The Undisputed Era to win, I’m going to say they will win. Winner: The Undisputed Era.

Ok people, we need to know who will be the final member of team Ciampa is at WarGames. Triple H said it will be a huge surprise. Will it be Velveteen Dream? Will it be anyone from Raw or SmackDown like Seth Rollins perhaps? I read somewhere that it just might be John Morrison. What do you think?

First up is a Chaos Space Marines Rhino! This is one of many in any army I’m working on at the moment for a customer. It like all the models in this army is painted to Trooper Level.
I’m going to be doing a Terminator Lord, 3 Obliterators, and 10 Berzerkers next.

Malifaux Hamelin the Plagued crew~
Finished another Malifaux crew. This is the third crew I’ve completed, and it was just as much fun as the others. Which is to say, very fun indeed. The bases were tedious, as I had to highlight each stone, but the end result was worth the pain.

~Mantic Games Veer-Myn~
I really like these models. I used to be fairly skeptical of their sculpt quality and general aesthetic appeal, but those judgements were based on photographs. In the flesh, these models are quite detailed, which is significant as they are very small, just about half the size of a regular 28mm human model.
I like them so much that I decided to take photographs against a variety of backdrops, including a ruined building I made for Dust Warfare.

~Malifaux Steampunk Arachnids~
These are part of a long-term commission I’m doing, due date by or before Christmas this year. These models are so tinythat they were challenging to paint, but I did the best I could for Trooper Level on models this small. Actually, these are the most miniscule figures I’ve ever done. Still, I did have fun.

Long time, no update! Sorry about the silence guys, life has been crazy.
To atone for this lapse in communication, here are shots of the Black Templars commission I finished two weeks ago. They were still awaiting some final cleanup when these were taken, but they are pretty much complete.
