The Voltron fandom is young still, so what better way to get to both meet new friends and create lots of new content than a gift exchange?
Everyone is welcome to participate!!!
The exchange date will be Friday December 23rd, 2016.
Rules:
To enter you MUST submitan application form NO LATER THAN MONDAY OCTOBER 31st, 2016! After the deadline the submit box will be CLOSED.
There will be no specified categories. If you sign up you agree to receive a gift in whichever format (fic or art, it will be a surprise). If you are concerned with receiving a particular form of fan-creation (ie: you can handle written gore, but not visual gore, etc), simply say so in the application form.
URLs would be assigned at random; details about the person you’d be making the gift for would be submitted to your tumblr, so you’d have to open your submit box (an announcement would be made concerning the particular dates, around the end of October).
THERE WILL BE A DEADLINE FOR DROPPING OUT!!! I understand that life may sometimes get in the way of our plans and force us to reorganize our priorities according to the situation at hand. However, if you feel that there will be a possibility that you will be UNABLE to participate in the shendak exchange, please LET ME KNOW of your decision by NO LATER THEN FRIDAY DECEMBER 2nd, 2016!! This is to ensure that your recipient will still receive a gift! If something unexpected comes up the day before the exchange, again, please LET ME KNOW RIGHT AWAY so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
Gifts will be POSTED on YOUR PAGE. Due to the issues involved in submitting gifts, just post what you have made on your own blog and tag the user you are giving the gift to. Tag the post with #shendaksecretsanta16 and I’d reblog all gifts onto this blog so everyone could enjoy them! Posting on other sites (AO3, DA, FF, etc) is fine; just make sure you contact the person you have been assigned to let them know that their gift is up and ready!

To prove I am not dead, just been super busy with work, being in way too many zines, and on top of that getting married in Japan. But here you can have my entry to the Shendak free fanzine that I think died. It was a silly little picture I made so please forgive the wonky anatomy.

A Shendak commission for someone, from their nurse!Shiro AU! If he ever posts the story publicly, I’ll link it here. But this was a cute scene of Shiro’s presence comforting Sendak in his anxiety.

It’s a fantastic canon-divergent fic that explores what could have happened if Shiro were to climb the ranks in Galran society instead of being rescued by Ulaz. This has been the most wonderful project to work on, as well as being my first Big Bang, first colored comic, and first time drawing most of these characters, and I’d love to do another one soon! And maybe doodle a few of Aurum’s other Voltron stories… Please check out the writers’ blogs as well!
I like the idea that Sendak and Shiro had something going on during Shiro’s time ad a gladiator. But he forgot all about it, when Sendak remembers… It’s my first time making a comic page since I was a teen trying to make comics. I’m pretty happy with it.
