When I lived in Katmandu we lived in an extended family situation, with my aunts and uncles and cousins with my grandfather, in a very small apartment. There was a really strong sense of community, I find in third world countries, the communities are stronger because they have so many more challenges. I always had this desire to be surrounded by people, even in my work.
