Over the past few months we have had a couple of questions in regards to arrangements for disabled persons at the event this weekend. We thought it’d be a good idea to release official information on this so that anybody who hasn’t contacted us yet has some answers.

It’s incredibly important to us that everyone is treated equally and everyone has the opportunity to get as much of the event as possible. It is still, however, important that we do not allow people to abuse the system, (a big problem last year). Because of this we have decided on the following: People with a medical disability which prevents them queuing safely during the event will be able to do the following with oneextra person accompanying them.

Entrance to Alexandra Palace: Disabled persons should make their way to the furthest left entrance to Alexandra Palace for admission to the event.

Meet and Greets: We have a new meet and greet system this year (details here: http://youtu.be/hf0MEHAF-Fc). People with a disability which prevents them safely queuing for meet and greets may collect their ticket number from the queue entrance. Then, they can leave the queue to explore the rest of the event. A volunteer will give them an estimate time for when they should return and when their number comes, they can go to the front of the queue.

We hope these make sense to everyone affected and if you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch via the SitC website.

Thanks a lot,

Tom, Dave, Liam, Jazza and Luke.
