I hovered in place and, with a sudden surge of inner strength, resumed the shape of a man again. There was no light of any sort here, either, but I hardly needed it. The clustered bodies of the bats shed enough warm illumination for me to pick my way around the crypts and piles of guano. A few of the creatures knew me, perhaps recognizing one of their own in some way. They flapped down and lighted on my shoulders and arms, greeting me with joyful chirps and twitters.
Two of the more spoiled ones landed in my open palm, allowing me to stroke their backs with the lightest touch of my little finger. Their fur was so soft as to hardly be felt. The ones on my head playfully tickled my ears and tugged at my hair.
But it was very late. I had no time to spare for socializing.
I, Strahd: The Memoirs of a Vampire
Boi, this is the first time in my life I’ve managed to draw this fur hat and accept it as ok.

Patrina Velikovna with a pinch of that Slavic vibe ✨
I’m still trying to figure out elvish clothes. This time I was like “ok, they have Sehanine Moonbow, who is literally a moon, so WHY DON’T WE PUT HELLA MOONS HERE”
Also I promised myself not to draw her until my players resurrect her, but as we can see, I’m not really good with keeping that promise.
Dumb sketch of Patrina, ‘cause I was tired and sad. And yes, make it Slavic ✨
Reuploading, since I’ve fixed some disturbing mistakes (but there is more, but I’m so freaking done, I can’t).
Also, there is a dead version now, since one of my players managed to make a connection with dat girl (that’s one dumb story of accidental coincidences, hehe), and now she visits him in nightmares, too. Afterlife is not a very pleasant thing, ya know. Especially when you’re trying to escape that.
I made Patrina the ✨true love ✨ of Strahd in our CoS company. Book gives a hint of them having some sort of mutual interest at some point, but then Tatyana appeared, and Strahd lost his head. And I was like “nope, he didn’t.” So, basically, I changed this part of the story and slightly adjusted Patrina’s priorities. There is a ton of reasons I did that, but the main one was “I’m sad, and I want a good love story, and my players don’t like Strahd-Tatyana drama, and I don’t like it either, and there is no one to stop me, so whatever.”
