“I’m just gonna say it: I hate Neyla’s design so much. Technically nothing is outright bad (although nothing remarkable), but it’s her goddamn FACE that ruins it all. Why does she have a human face? Who thought it was a good idea? I am also bothered by how Carmelita has human-like lips but at least she still has a proper snout, and the lips weren’t present in her 3D model. They still kept it on Neyla and it’s genuinely hard for me to look at her in-game model because it just looks so unpleasant.”

“If Sly 5 does see the light of day, one of the things I hope is that Carmelita (finally) doesn’t have a new voice actress. Hopefully they keep Grey DeLisle, who voiced her in Thieves In Time. I think she did a great job and it’d be nice to see her reprise our lovely cop vixen in a future game.“

“As I’ve gotten older I’ve realized how sort of messed up the end of Sly 3 is. So Sly is faking having amnesia in order to get closer to Carmelita without any consequences of his thieving life style. And Carmelita is taking advantage of what she thinks is genuine amnesia in order to create a new life/identity for him. It makes them both look so scummy, especially Carm. Sly had said he regretted his cowardice and wanted to work things out, so why go for this ‘Sly fakes amnesia’ angle?”

They basically did the exact same thing with Neyla, first building her up like she was going to be Sly’s new love interest in the first three levels, only to have her betray the gang. So Sly 4 just felt kind of lazy that way, Le Paradox is just a lamer version of Clockwerk and Penelope is a lamer version of Neyla.”

“I think Murray knows that Sly saw him as a burden, which is why he went out of his way to run for the keys in Sly 1, and his “The Murray” persona in Sly 2 onwards. He’s attempting to prove himself to Sly. It makes more sense when you realize that Sly was only 18 in Sly 1 when Sly describes Murray as a “full-time burden”, it’s something that an insensitive teen might say.“
