The first key visual, trailer, and staff of SnK’s fourth and final season have finally been revealed! The key visual reveals ReinerconfrontingEren’s Attack Titan.
Through the trailer and website, the respected Studio MAPPA was shown to have taken over the animation production from WIT Studio, which had been at the helm for seasons 1-3. Other significant staff changes include:
Director:Hayashi Yuichiro takes over for Araki Tetsuro & Koizuka Masashi
Chief Animation Director: Niinuma Daisuke takes over for Asano Kyoji
Character Designer: Kishi Tomohiro takes over for Asano Kyoji
Seko Hiroshi is now head scriptwriter, Sawano Hiroyuki remains co-composer of the series alongsite Yamamoto Kohta, and Mima Masafumi continues to be the sound director.
Yabuta Shuuhei, who was heavily involved in the 3D/CG production of the previous seasons and is the current director of Vinland Saga, directed this first trailer.
The seiyuu/voice actors remain the same for all characters that viewers can hear in the trailer so far.
No premiere date was included for the Final Season, however the first/previous announcement scheduled it for Fall 2020. The Season 1-3 compilation film Attack on Titan: Chronicle currently has a premiere date of July 7th, 2020, which is on track with serving as a preview for a Fall season 4 premiere. With that said, many anime series set to premiere in the second half of the year have been delayed due to the COVID situation in Japan, so we will stay tuned for any official announcements.

Shingeki! Kyojin Chuugakkou Image Song: Eren Jaeger
On July 3rd, attendees of the Shingeki! Kyoin Chuugakkou “Advance Festival” Reading & Live Event were given a card with an original image song for Eren Jaeger entitled, Abstract Lust. The song, sung by Eren’s Japanese seiyuu Kaji Yuki, has two different versions: day and night, which fans were able to downloadAugust 3rd by using the QR code on the card’s back.
The songs were composed by up and coming composer Kohta Yamamoto while Hiroyuki Sawano supervised. The second character song and its release date has yet to be announced.
SNK editor Shintaro Kawakubo has published a first look at the third official Shingeki no Kyojin guidebook, Shingeki no Kyojin Answers! The guidebook will include Female and Armor Titan paper crafts, new character profiles, If Illustrations by Hajime Isayama, exclusive interviews and more!
The guidebook will be released August 9th for 864 yen.
Wonder Planet has announced that puzzle game, Crash Fever will have a collaboration event with Shingeki no Kyojin! Beginning August 10th, players can battle the Female, Colossal, and Armored titans and obtain Mikasa, Eren, and the Rogue Titan. Anyone who logs in during the event period will receive Cleaning Levi.

Kodansha has unveiled a very special edition of the SnK manga in “Titan” size! With dimensions of 1000mm x 704mm, the giant book will contain 96 pages featuring the first 2 chapters of the manga. A storage case will also be included.
With a limited run of 100 copies (First-come-first-serve), the feat will also be entered into the Guinness Book of World Records as “Largest Published Comic Book.”
