The gravity of the exchange weighed on Hans’ shoulders, crushing him in spite of his military posture. The grip on one of his arms tightened, but the other slipped away as Leone stepped forward.

“I’ll stay in Hans’ place.”

The named man drew a sharp inhalation.

Klaus snorted. “Excuse me?”

The Sicilian crown prince pointed his confident countenance at his Southern Isles counterpart. “I’ll be your prisoner, and Hans will go with the rest of our family.”

i could forgive the golden circle for not being anywhere near as good as the first kingsman movie if only it hadn’t killed merlin.

harry/eggsy is without a doubt the emotional core of these movies, but merlin almost singlehandedly made kingsman as an organization feel real.

it makes sense that after his death “kingsman” is basically a subsidiary of statesman, given that harry and eggsy are the only ones left. forget galahad senior, galahad jr and other knights, they might as well go ahead and adopt alcoholic beverages as alias.

Jonas loves pulling things out of the drawers, so this morning I put him in the laundry basket to keep him occupied. Playing with my dirty socks is one of his favorite things to do.

While I was taking the trash out this morning, a man doing some digging in the pastor’s yard (next door to us), yelled at me, “Do you all like asparagus?”

“Asparagus? Yes.”

He stopped digging and walked towards his truck. “My wife and I have a bunch. I gave a bag to Mrs. W (Pastor’s mother).”

He gave me a small bag. “We picked it this morning.”

And that’s why we had asparagus with dinner.

Everton, being Everton, couldn’t pull out a win against an already relegated side. At least they didn’t lose; it’s good they drew with Watford and got a point. But this means there’s more pressure on Sunday. Good thing we’ll be at my parents’ house!

My in-laws are coming the last week in May. They want to give us a date night. It would be a great opportunity to see Downton Abbey: A New Era except 1) it’s Mister’s birthday and I’d rather let him do something he likes (for once ) and 2) there seriously aren’t that many movie theaters around here, and I’m not sure the closest ones will be showing it. I’ll see it somehow!!

Little Dude (Mister’s name for Jonas) is getting more independent. He loves flipping the light switches on and off whenever he can reach them. I was getting a strobe light effect while cleaning up after dinner, since he’d climbed onto a package of paper towels in the kitchen. The toddler years are going to be fun…

Have a good night, friends.
