#some dorlene fluff this time because literally why not

the soft pitter-patter of london’s rain was already so well-known by all of its residents and still, there was something special every time; a distant rumble of a thunder, a different flash of a lightning.

marlene stumbled over dorcas’ feet as they swung clumsily in the rain, which earned her a chuckle from her lover.

“you’re supposed to be a good dancer. or so, you bragged.” they nudged her gently, to which she scoffed.

i didn’t say anything.”

“sure you didn’t.” dorcas smiled, resting their head on marlene’s shoulder, letting the rain drip down their hair.

marlene hummed contently, stroking their hair. “i want a kiss.” she pouted.

dorcas raised their head and, lacing their arms around marlene’s neck, they kissed her gently, their lips barely touching. she eagerly returned the kiss, her hands on their hips.

and with their clothes soaked and their hair damp, it was them, only them. and thay was enough.

“you know, you’re awfully pretty,” dorcas smiled, twirling a strand of marlene’s blonde hair around their fingers, “it’s such a shame you’re such a bitch though.”

“oh, fuck off!” she exclaimed, playfully shoving her lover. “if i was as bad as you say i am, you certainly would not love me.”

“i’d love you even at your worst, marlene. i’d love you even after you leave me and break my heart.”

her gaze softened. “and i will love you just the same. i will love you, adore you even, if you will, even from the skies above.”

“bold of you to assume you’re going to end up in heaven.”

marlene snorted loudly; she started laughing, the sound tingling dorcas’ ears in such a way, that it sent shivers up their spine.

god, did they love marlene. and she loved them just the same.
