You know, it dawns onto me that season 5 might very well be the true end of miraculous as we know it, and I feel like this isn’t being talked about.
I mean, yes. The show will technically go on into seasons 6 and 7, and this post isn’t to be negative and immediately cast doubt onto those seasons just because they fall into the hands of zag/fall out of Astruc’s original script (especially seeing as Astruc is, well, Astruc). But it’s still something to think about, because at the end of the day; it’s the end of an era.
I mean, think about it.
-This season will likely be the end of the Hawkmoth arc
-The reveal is like basically confirmed for this season seeing as, again, this is the end of Astruc’s OG script and no way in hell he didn’t write the reveal into his ending. Also, he has had the reveal planned since the beginning of the show, and has also said that he is leaving after season 5 bc he will have told the story he wanted to tell… you put the pieces together.
-Piggybacking off the reveal, the love square might be resolved/dating.
-Emilie’s fate might be determined
-The question of whether Gabriel is redeemed or not (PLEASE let it be not) will be answered.
-Many big theories (COUGH COUGH SENTIADRIEN) will be put to rest.
So, while Season 5 might not be the end of miraculous in general, it still stands that it’s the end of miraculous as we know it.
And to me, someone who has been into this show as it is now since, oh I don’t know, middle school, that’s… I mean, that’s pretty big.
So… here’s to the season 5 premiere in 13 days you guys !

Enemies-to-lovers, but instead of featuring a villain redemption arc, the heroic one is getting progressively more corrupt, unhinged and fucked up, and the one who was originally the clear-cut villain out of the two is just like “well mark me down as scared andhorny”
