Greetings everyone!
If there is something I am used to doing during school breaks, it is read. There hasn’t been much of it for leisure this past year, but one of the few books that I did take time to read was #Girlboss by NastyGal founder Sophia Amoruso.
In this book, Amoruso tells the story of her life, how she went from dumpster diving to running an eBay shop to being the CEO of a multimillion fashion company. It includes advice and funny anecdotes, and generally the book is a good read.
If there was one thing this book did for me, it was give me motivation. It shows that even though you start from the bottom, you really can get there. To the very top. All you need is a bit of stealth and a lot of motivation and tenacity.
I definitely give this a 10/10, and even though I’ve already read it twice, I’ll definitely be reading it again. If you’re not really into non-fiction, but still interested in the world of fashion and female entrepreneurs, I’d give this a go anyway!

E sabe quem não gostou nada da Série?
A própria Sophia Amoruso.
Foi ela mesma quem anunciou o fim da serie em seu instagram, dizendo:
“Então, aquela série da Netflix sobre a minha história foi cancelada. Por mais que esteja orgulhosa do trabalho que fiz, estou anciosa para controlar minha narrativa daqui pra frente. Foi uma boa série e foi um privilégio trabalhar com tantos talentos incríveis, mas viver minha vida como uma caricatura foi dífícil, mesmo que por apenas dois meses. Sim, eu posso ser difícil. Não, não sou uma babaca. Não, uma pessoa chamada Shane nunca me traiu. Vai ser legal, um dia, contar a história do que aconteceu nestes últimos anos. As pessoas leem a chamada, não a errata, eu aprendi”.
É, eu comecei a ler o livro, e conforme já esperado, não tinha nada a ver com a série. No livro, Sophia dá várias dicas de como se tornar uma empresaria e realmente não parece ser o tipo de pessoa que passaria TANTO por cima das outras pra conseguir o que quer.
Mesmo assim a serie tem seus méritos e por mais que seja pura ficção eu recomendo a qualquer milenial que queira vencer na vida.
Só lembre-se que a série é ficção, só ficção mesmo, e que por ter distorcido tanto os fatos da vida de alguém, muita gente parece ter sido magoada no decorrer da história.
a Netflix devia repensar algumas de suas decisões, respeitar as pessoas reais que viveram as histórias que está retratando e respeitar o público, que acompanha as séries e que precisa ter SEGURANÇA que, ao começar um investimento emocional em algum projeto da Netflix, não vai ser abandonado a deriva quando a empresa falhar.
