currently writing a fic and an essay at the same time both on google docs,,, i sure hope i don’t make some big mistake,,
no because I’m not over this so I’m not going to shut up
like yes it’s awkward and hesitant and honestly kinda weird but this was in so many ways both characters’ first kiss. and I’m so glad they let them have that, let this be an awkward first kiss. it would have been so easy to say that ed would be an experienced and passionate kisser, but that’s not what this is. it’s soft and cautious and a bit weirdly placed and ed doesn’t quite know where to put his hands. and maybe this is just me, but this felt like an homage to queer kids, or really queer people of any age, and that feeling of not knowing what your love is “supposed” to look like because media doesn’t show it but you know you feel it and you’re just trying figure out how to show it. this was their first kiss, the first time they kissed someone out of love and I just fucking love that they really did make it a first kiss. i’ll stop rambling now but yeah… this show is literally so healing and i’ve rarely felt so seen by another piece of media

Grandma is the working class. Little Red Riding Hood is naive but well-meaning progressives trying to help the working class. The wolf is capitalism coopting both the working class and progressivism into itself. The huntsman is violent revolution dismantling capitalism.
please consider:
little red- red as symbol of communism (ie, the red scare), taking on the act of giving to the working class (grandma)
wolf- still capitalism, more specifically upper class benefitters of capitalism, attempting to halt act of giving to working class, instead taking goods for themselves
huntsman- me gutting jeff bezos and elon musk like rotting fish
i’m in the middle of finals, my internet is down, i haven’t been able to work… and all my brain can think about is ed and izzy getting into a fist fight and ed splitting open izzy’s lip and then kissing the blood off his mouth
