I’m way too sensitive a sapphic to get to into the current Steven Lim discourse. I don’t think his apology was terrible but I would like to have a more public acknowledgment and conversation.
I don’t think he’s objectively a bad person. At the same time I’ve always felt a little disconnected from him and I blamed it on him being very very Christian and me being a bit traumatized. There have just been a few red flags for me that I’ve tried to brush aside because I know I’m overly sensitive.
This time I think it maybe hits too close. Idk. I’m just hoping for better from him (and moreover Watcher bc there’s some complicitness from them all) moving forward.
