#still love you

LIVE

Being abused by the one you love is the most painful shit…

you’ll never be able to forget it

Continuing from where he left off last episode, Leona says that Charon’s role is to ferry the ‘lost’ souls to the Isle of Lamentation, which is where the name ‘Ferry Guard’ comes from.

Usually, when an overblot happens, Magical Force corps, or Magic Riot Police are sent to deal with the situation, but sometimes it can still get out of hand. That’s where S.T.Y.X. comes into play. They intervene as specialists in blot research, regardless of whether the concerned parties actually call for them or not. Leona had probably seen them before after some kind of emergencies had taken place in the past.

Riddle asks what exactly is S.T.Y.X., and Leona says that they are a non-governmental organization, that belongs to no country. It’s known to do research on magic technology and blot, but the scale of the organization, motivations and members are all kept secret. The Isle of Lamentation, where the S.T.Y.X headquarters is at, is not even recorded on any map to date. Jamil says that it almost sounds like a forbidden area then.

Leona then says that, though Charon does indeed take in overblotted magic users, it’s usually only when they are in a state of no return. So Vil speaks up, saying that all of them present here were already freed from that ‘abominable’ state. They all received special counselling and care, and everything was found to be normal for their follow-ups as well. So why were they suddenly captured, in a violent manner?

Azul feels that the more he thinks about it, the more confused he gets; of course, this situation in absurd, but what exactly is the connection between Idia and this organization that has been secluded from the rest of the world?

Vil, guessing from Leona’s story, thinks that Idia may actually be in a special position to be able to contact S.T.Y.X…. because Idia’s family is at least as rich as, if not more, than Kalim’s family. At this, Riddle, Jamil and Azul react in shock. He further explains that, the Shroud family is one branch of the Jupiter Conglomerate, who struck a fortune in finding underwater oil fields and rare metals. They have a double take, again, when Azul tries to clarify, this is the same conglomerate that the Olympus Company, who holds the OS with the largest share in the world, as well as developed their own search engine, is affiliated with?

Riddle is still in shock, because yes, he did know that the Shroud family was a branch of the Jupiter  conglomerate, but he only thought that Idia simply had the same family name by coincidence! Jamil also speaks quitely, thinking about how the Shroud family never revealed themselves in media, and were known as the ‘Shadow Commander’… Riddle could still hardly believe Idia is from such a family, with how he acts the way he does…

Azul feels dizzy now… because if he had known this earlier, he would’ve tried harder to bait Idia into his money-making schemes! Riddle and Jamil look at him exasperated, he really does never change…

Jamil thinks that it’s strange such a person would enter the school without a single helper- but suddenly realizes that is what the special permission for the existence of his ‘little brother’ to be on school grounds means.

Vil thinks that it wouldn’t be so strange for the family called the ‘Shadow Commander’ and this hidden organization to have some connections. Azul feels a little relieved, thinking that if Idia is involved, then maybe they could be released sooner. However, Leona is doubtful. They were captured as experimental ‘subjects’, so there’s no knowing what’s gonna happen to them. In one of the history books he read back at the palace, those captured by the Ferry Guards are never to return from the Isle of Lamentation. Everyone goes quiet at this, when the transportation shakes a bit. It seems they have landed somewhere.

The vessel soon opens, and bright light flows in, stunning them for a moment. They can then see a very high-tech looking corridor, and are soon greeted by none other than Idia Shroud, welcoming them to the dark, gloomy Isle of Lamentation, as the acting chief of S.T.Y.X.
