#strawberry anemones

Strawberry anemones (Corynactis californica) are not actually anemones .  Although they look similar to anemones, they are actually a mushroom coral, closely related stony coral, except they lack a stony outer skeleton. They are easily distinguished from true anemones because of the clubbed tipped tentacles.
