I hate to post this first, but it’s one of the few things set in stone, so it’ll have to do. Here’s all the lesbians in the redux! The other icon sets are still being worked on, and I’ll make a seperate post explaining why I chose to have so many LGBT+ dragons. I promise the redux doesn’t focus on romance, though.

Love spending my time drawing flowers of the sea
Did you know? There are nearly 30 species of clownfish! Here’s one you may not know: the pink skunk clownfish (Amphiprion perideraion).
Also known as the pink anemonefish, it can be found in parts of the Indo-Pacific where, like other clownfish species, it has an affinity for anemones. The anemone’s poisonous tentacles offer protection to the clownfish, which takes refuge from predators (and is itself protected from its host’s stings thanks to a layer of mucus). In turn, the fish aggressively defends its host from other fish and cleans off parasites.

Tube anemone in Bali.
Interestingly, a tube anemone isn’t really a sea anemone at all, but part of a different class of anthozoans (anemones and corals) called cerianthids.They have two rows of tentacles arranged in a spiral shape.

The Awakening of Adonis (1899), by J.W. Waterhouse
Adonis was commissioned to the underworld by Zeus, but every spring, when the anemones start to flower, he is kissed back to life by his lover Aphrodite. To the right, we see Cupid reviving the glowing torch of life and Waterhouse’s favourite birds, the pigeons also fly into the scene.
Already during his life, the painting was criticized for being too mellow and also the technique does not match Waterhouse’s usual standards. It may have been rushed to be finished in time for the 1899 summer exhibition of the Royal Academy. Andrew Lloyd Webber added it to his art collection in 2016.
