When I talk to non-Brits I feel my English so fluent, I mean much more fluent than a year ago. Now I can find different ways of saying the same to choose among, and they all are right!
But when I talk with Brits, I just wanna cry because of my stupidness…
Robotnik’s ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ horrified reaction to seeing Stone get knocked out : (
I def have Some Thoughts about this - like a half a second later, Robotnik’s face visibly relaxes and he lowers his hand. Going back to the 'I can smell the electricity in your brain’ line, maybe Robotnik has his hand up because he’s reading Stone’s brain activity and upon finding out he’s just knocked out, he acts irritated and makes a quip about work safety. Gotta hide that Inner VulnerabilityTM
Secondly, and this could be a reach, but judging how utterly terrified he looks for the brief moment he’s unsure if Stone is okay, perhaps this isn’t the first time he’s watched someone he cared about get hurt. Maybe they died. Maybe that someone could have been his parents? Idk
I def subscribe to the headcanon that Robotnik teleported Stone out of the death egg robot to safety shortly after this : )
In addition to these thoughts, we have one more detail about “electricity”. Sonic’s thorn! If this is not a “montage mistake”, then it began to glow when the Robotnik approached Stone… Look on the Stone’s jacket in the first two screenshots (there is no glow) and on the Robotnik’s neck and face in the nexts (there is)
If we look at all the moments in movies, the glow of thorn in dormant state was random. But there are a clear time points… So it is quite possible the stobotnik’s tension has charged it lol (also I think the thorn can take energy from the world so it has unlimited power)
