26 years ago today, “Mortal Kombat” premiered in theaters.
Although it’s considered one of the Best “Worst” movies ever, the rapid popularity of MK along with the Theme song helped this open #1 at box offices earning $23.2 million.
Talking about new Mortal Kombat live action movie, hmmm.. I know that the director wanted this movie to be “down to earth” and more realistic. But dude.. c'mon, for the fans, we have been presented with a Mortal Kombat 11 Story Mode Movie cutscenes, and from the aspects of the story, cinematography, and the fight choreography are very fucking awesome, and this is 3x better than the new live action movie. Plus the continuation in Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath, you can even watch it on youtube!!.
Of course, I know this is not an apple to apple comparison, but it made me give more expectation for the live action. Overall 3.5/5⭐ for testimonial score that I gave. I hope we can get more in the next Mortal Kombat live action movie, especially for the ninjas.
