Of all the people Fury could have sent to accompany Wanda, Maria, Val, Pepper. No, it had to be Carol. Now was probably the time to get nervous cause if Carol knew, so would your mom. Those two had no secrets for each other, and Carol was kind of sap if it came to your mom.

More than once, you had found them in a compromising position. You had also seen more of both women than you would ever want from parental figures.

On the other hand, you also knew that Carol would be the most lenient with you when she heard the whole story. You did, however, play the role of the scolded teenager like everybody else would do if they were called to the principal. So you avoided eye contact when she tried to make it.

People looking in on the scene saw a parent picking up their kid.

When she stopped right in front of you, you only saw the black of her combat boots. You looked up at her from under your lashes, hoping to gain some leverage over her. Carol was much softer to you than your mother, and you could get away with way more than with your mother. The look in her eyes told you something different.

Instead of the bright blue eyes, you were met by a cold stare. Is this what she looked like for rookies who started at shield?

“I am very disappointed in you (Y/N). Maybe Natasha and I have been too lenient with you and letting you live here alone. You just wait until your mother hears of this.” Carol says in her most severe Captain Danvers voice. Okay, now you definitely felled like those recruits on their first day.

“come on!” without another word, Carol turns on her heels and walks away. You follow three paces behind her with your eyes glued to the ground. When you walk through the hall, you have the feeling like everybody is watching you. Mor, like everybody, is watching Carol and her aura those screams badass.

People seemed to have gathered outside, but for a whole different reason. Everybody seemed to have swarmed around Carol’s restored vintage mustang. The car was a gift from you to Carol a couple of years ago when she and your mom ‘official’ came together.

Carol walks over to Wanda, who stood just outside the swarm of people, for a quick conversation. This allows Cheryl to lunge herself at you. The last the redhead had seen of you was when you were led to the principal’s office, and then a stoic looking blond had walked into the school. For some reason, the blond screamed military, and for some reason, that explained a whole lot of things about you.

“are you okay? Are you hurt in any way? What happened?” Cheryl’s questions are being fired at you in quick succession that it almost feels like she is rambling.

“I’m okay, Red. They gave me a two-week suspension and called one of my moms.” You explain that you might as well uphold the lie if your mom was coming home, and it would be suspicious otherwise. Even with that, Cheryl didn’t seem keen on letting go, and you might have taken advantage to get some more hugs. You would have to miss her for at least a week.

“Also, I’m going to be gone for a while. Some trouble at home that needs my attention.” That information makes Cheryl let go of you and stares at you in disbelief, and even what looked like a pout.

“how long?” her question wasn’t anything more than a whisper, and she sounded so small.

“not longer than a week, I promise. In the meantime, Wanda will drive you to school, and if home becomes too much, know you are always welcome at mine even if I’m not there.” You reassure her while pulling her into another hug, giving her temple a little peck. After that, you tear yourself away from her and walk toward Carol. Who is fighting not to let her stoic masker crack. On the way, you make eye contact with Wanda, who gives you an understanding not.

With a heavy sigh, you sink into the passenger seat of Carol’s car, making a point of not looking at your classmates. Part is keeping up appearances, and interest is not wanting to look at Cheryl’s heartbroken face. It has never been so hard to leave on a mission in the past.

Getting two weeks from the drama that was Riverdale high seems like a relief but having to leave Cheryl behind seemed like torture in your mind,

Carol seemed to pick up on your mood halfway toward the house, and she had to admit you looked kind of like her when Natasha was away on a mission, even if anybody who would point it out would get a fist to the gut.

“Hey, kid, come up. It’s not like you leave her forever, and when your mom is back, you can introduce her to your little girlfriend.” Carol teases, seeing the blush appear on your cheeks. It was good to see you act like a normal teenager. Sometimes people forget you were still that, a kid trying to figure out who they are. So it was refreshing to see you, crush over a pretty girl.

“sheisntmygirlfriend.” You mumble under your breath, turning even redder.

“what was that? I didn’t quite hear that.” Carol teases, nudging you with her shoulder.

“she isn’t my girlfriend.” You repeat a little louder.

“yet.” Carol counters.

You were tapping your finger on the steering wheel as you waited. 'Sweet American Pie’ playing in the background. When Carol gave you the location of your mom’s extraction, you had hoped it would be a little more remote, and instead, it was in some dark alley that smelled of fish.

Luckily for you, you didn’t have to wait long. The moment the door handle moved, you had your gun from under your seat and pointed at whoever opened it. Blond hair moved as they aimed their own gun at you?

Part 6 of  Supersoldier meet Riverdale

Just like you expected, Cheryl and Wanda got along great. Both girls understood each other over the loss of a twin brother. Wanda’s open personality caused Cheryl to confide in her and open up. You were happy Cheryl had another person in her corner; she sure as hell could use it.

After eating dinner and chatting for a bit, Wanda even proposed to drive Cheryl home, spouting it would be safer than driving with you on the back of your motorcycle. What was even worse was that Cheryl went along with the teasing. Both giggled at the pout you are sported. This was probably a habit-forming them teaming up on you.

“Alright, you take Red home.” You say to your sister while turning toward Cheryl, who was watching the sibling banter with joy—remembering when she and Jason did that.

“guess I’ll see you on Monday when I come to pick you up,” you tell Cheryl while engulfing her in a short hug before opening the passenger door of Wanda’s red corvette. Another thing these two had in common was their love for the colour red. However, this particular car was Natasha’s.

You watch the car driving off before getting on your bike. The whole ride home, you wonder what Wanda was telling Cheryl. Knowing her, I was probably embarrassing stories about when you were younger.

“how come (Y/N) had never mentioned you before today, and how come you are only showing up on the town today after she has been here for weeks?” now that you weren’t around, Cheryl felled a little bolder to ask questions. She had wondered a lot why nobody ells lived in the house with you.
Wanda gave the girl next to her a sideways glance before returning her eyes onto the road. She had to hand it to you; you knew how to pick the feisty ones, and with the emotions she was hearing in the redhead’s voice, she genuinely cared for you.

“our family life is complicated, to say the least.” Cheryl’s eyes narrowed at the vague answer.

“elaborate.” Wanda sighed before continuing.

“as you might have noticed (Y/N) and I don’t look much alike. That is because both of us are adopted. She ad an earlier age than me. The details are something you will talk to her about. As for me, I was born overseas and got adopted after my twin brother Pietro died. Over the years, I have come to see (Y/N) as my sister.” Wanda told Cheryl, the younger redhead could hear the fondness in Wanda’s voice while she talked about you.

The rest of the drive was done in comfortable silence. The gates of Thornhill approached quicker than Cheryl wanted them to. She fell at ease talking to Wanda almost as much as she did to you.
Wanda could pick up Cheryl’s gloomy vibes and said thoughts the close they got to her home. The mansion gave off bad vibes, and Wanda felled terrible having to leave the younger girl here.

“Thanks for the ride. I hope we talk more at school.” Cheryl said before opening the door. Before she could step out, Wanda stopped her.

“hope we can too, and I know we just met, but you can always come to me if something is wrong, even if it is with my sister,” Wanda said, grabbing Cheryl’s hand and squeezing it. Cheryl doesn’t answer but squeezes back. What was it with your family and looking out for her. Nobody in town had shown her as much kindness as you and Wanda did.

When Wanda gets back to the house, she finds you passing in the garage and jumping on her when she steps out of the car. Hse had never seen you so nervous about a girl. It was kind of cute to see you act so mundane.

“Did Cheryl say something?” Wanda only smirked but didn’t answer you. You glared at her, but she didn’t budge. Knowing you weren’t as scary as you pretended to be.
When you knew she wasn’t going to say anything, wanting to make you suffer for a bit more, you went over to the other pressing matter.

“what’s wrong with mom? Is she okay? Has her mission south? Please, Wanda, tell me something. I’m going crazy over here.” You were particularly dying over here. Wanda dared to laugh at your misery. Her laughter only died down after you glared at her for a couple of moments.

“Relax, it’s nothing as serious as you think. Natasha contacted us and asked if somebody would come and help here in Riverdale. She also asked if you could drive her extraction car.” You continued to glare at Wanda, and she just kept giggling.

“so all this was because mom needed a chauffeur, and nobody from the compound could let me know beforehand? You guy basically gave me a heart attack the moment FRYDAY said somebody was coming.” Instead of defending herself, Wanda walked closer and hugged you tightly. Instinctively you hugged her back. Even though you had Cheryl to keep you company, you missed your family. Most of all, the physical contact you had with them.
Around your family and especially Wanda and your mother, you liked hugs a lot. Carol, too when she was home.

“All of this was also because I missed you. Life at the compound is quite dull without you, so I asked Steve and Tony if I could come and join you.” Wanda confessed.

“I missed you too.” You respond, holding her just a little tighter.

“o, I like to think other things after I saw you getting cosy with Cheryl,” Wanda says coyly. You can’t help the blush that starts forming on your cheeks and push her away.

“shut up!” after Wanda couldn’t stop laughing, you decided to return to your room. Although Wanda claimed you walked away pouting, you begged a differ?

Later she informed you somebody from the compound would come and get you and continue the everyday life you have built here until the end of the week, not to draw any suspicion. Also, Wanda enrolled herself in school and placed herself in the same year as you, although she is technically a year older.

That is how you walked in with Cheryl and Wanda by your side the next day at school. Luckily the two redheads had become fast friends and were oblivious about the stares everybody gave you three, but you weren’t. You could also hear the whispering.

“Who’s that girl?”

“she is hot. Why is she with Cheryl? Could they be related?” You just tried to ignore them throughout the day. However, it seemed god was not in your favour. Last time, you prayed to Loki.
Wanda had gotten a locker next to Cheryl, so far away from you. This meant the three of you had to split up—bad idea. The moment Cheryl and Wanda were out of your sight, boys from the football team. All of them were eyeing your sister like a piece of meat, and some even tried to touch them.

“let’s go of me, you jerk!” after you heard Wanda yell and saw her being cornered into her locker by Reggie, you lost it. A red haze covered over your eyes, and suddenly you had Reggie slammed against the locker while you were holding onto his neck. Baring your teeth very close to his face.

“if you ever lay your hands on my sister again, I’m going to rip off your arm and beat you with it.” You growl at him. Teachers can only rip you off Reggie after you slam him against the locker a few more times, leaving a dent. Well, more like you were getting bored of his dead animal tactic.

Apparently, teachers are not happy when you beat half-unconscious students and have to go to the principles office.

You were not impressed by the lecture the man gave you. Maybe Maria should give him some pointers. When she gave a lecture, you made sure you listened. What concerned you was that he had called your mother and that she would come and get you. Also, you were suspended for two weeks.

Sitting in front of the principles office, you try to think of who could be sent to fetch you. Wanda hadn’t said anything about anybody else coming. Could it be Maria, maybe Pepper?

Heavy boots stomping through the hall got your attention and that of everybody else. When short blond hair emerged between the crowd gathering around her, you knew you were screwed.
