I’ve finally got Popcorn’s DIY cage just how I want it!
Her 29cm wheel arrived yesterday, and she loves it. Plus, I’ve started using Megazorb rather than wood shavings, which is a lot better for her and a lot kinder to my allergies!

This is Popcorn, my syrian hamster. I decided to make a blog for her because she’s just too cute and I love taking photos of her!
She lives in a 100cm by 50cm cage that I built, and her favourite things are meal worms and peas!

Meet Sasha, my foster hamster! She is SO precious.
She is a big sweet girl with a gorgeous plush coat. She is shy and not sure about being friends with people yet. Sasha was surrendered to the rescue with her brother and two sisters. She’s the last one waiting for a home! She loves tunneling and running on her wheel.

She did not like being weighed and instead screamed at me… I’m sorry baby!!! Luckily we got it over with quickly and then she got to go back to her cozy enclosure and she immediately started foraging for snacks.
ohhhh help she’s so cute. Meet Rat! She’s my second foster hamster, I picked her up today from her old owner who loves her very much but unfortunately can’t keep her anymore.
Rat is in her initial quarantine right now but will eventually be available for adoption through Tiny Whiskers Animal Rescue in Minnesota. If you are interested in Rat or any of the other hamsters at the rescue, email [email protected]

I’d like to introduce you all to my new boy, Oreo. He’s the most nervous syrian hamster I’ve ever had. I don’t know how he’s been treated in the past but he sure doesn’t like hands and has zero trust for humans.
We adopted him about four weeks ago and I’ve just been letting him take his time exploring his massive new cage, so I haven’t had the chance to get a nice photo of him. In the past two weeks, rather than handling him, I’ve been letting him explore a big cardboard play pen, giving him the change to come to me when he wants to. Yesterday he finally took a sunflower seed off my hand!
