#tdp theory

LIVE

so this is really based off of some stuffs @beautifulterriblequeen has posted, but i seriously can’t get behind the “king runaan” theory, mostly just because devon ghiel has said that she doubts that there is a “leader” and probably more along the lines of a “council” consisting of the leaders of each profession, with runaan as the leader of the assassins. but there is something i just cant get off my mind.

in the opening sequence of the first episode, we see when elves drove humans out of xadia, as well was what appears to be a battle, most likely with a time skip because of Thunder being the one guarding the border (sorry about no screenshots i dont have netflix on my computer). Thing is, the tdp staff has rarely ever just “thrown in” big events such as this. Not to mention, these pictures:

in all my years of reading blurry screenshots, i can say without a shadow of a doubt that the text above the elf says “Younger Runaan?”

now they do have different markings and hairstyles, but those things are temporary. what im looking at is the exact same face shape, hair color, horns, and body shape. those things ARE irreversible (im going to assume moonshadow elves arent familiar with hair dye), and not to mention they have the EXACT same gloves/wrist guards, which really cant be a coincidence being truthful. if they were trying to get it to not look like runaan, they probably would have tried a lot harder.

well is this younger runaan?

well, yes. being truthful this could be easily answerable. he added the hair pieces because ethari probably made them for him, and his hair is more styled because ethari would do it for him. he’s very obviously a young adult/mid-20′s in this photo, but the previous one honestly looks like a teenager.(and when i say that i mean 17-19, not like,13 or 14.)

which finally leads me to my last point, where the hell did runaan get his scars from? yet again, easy. he got them in the battle. thats why Thunder showed up, the elves were struggling, im going to assume the other elves in that shot were killed or badly injured, and thunder finally decided to do his job and tell the humans to go back to where they came from.

My latest theory is mostly thinking out loud, but still worth the thought.

Some time ago, the voice actor of Aaravos tweeted this, and I found that very strange.

Why would Aaravos have a different voice after he/his temporary body comes out of the cocoon?

But as I was finishing the concept art book a few days ago, the dots connected when I read this.

I am 100% sure that they wouldn’t DARE make us get our hopes high about ever seeing a Star dragon unless they were actually planning to give us one in the show at one point.

But just a few pages later, they’re telling us that there are no other star beings besides unicorns and startouch-elves.

So I naturally came to the conclusion that the caterpillar will morph into the first startouch dragon ever, thus justifying the voice change too.

And just for the sake of testing my guessing abilities a bit farther, I’m predicting that the dragon will be snake-like, with 4 horns and translucent butterfly wings that have long flowy tails

Let’s see how it turns out!
