Holy shit, I cannot express how much I love CAIFANES. From the moment their songs start in get goosebumps and a sudden urge to go chaotic, in a harmonious way. I know that makes zero sense but wtf, that’s what their music makes me feel. Alongside the other tjree) two rock en español bands on my page, caifanes, although late to the game, were a huge success. Especially because they incorporated different styles otherwise than just 80s rock and the new wave sound. They added a whole lot of folk music from their native Mexico and also folk lyrics and myths and a bit of the occult. Plus the voice of the bands frontman Saul Hernandez wasn’t your typical “singing voice voice”.. He sounds like he’s in pain, to me anyway, and that’s not bad. His voice is very different yet equally as good as any other high ranked vocalist. this band and expect more of them her.
