more star wars thoughts: on my second viewing i noticed that both times something bad happens to rey, finn immediately throws away his gun?? i can’t figure out a logical reason for it since it’s not like he doesn’t have a use for it anymore, everyone is very much still in danger, it’s almost a kneejerk reaction he’s just like, “REY!!” [hurls gun 50 feet away]

i can’t help thinking like, at some point finn is cleaning the blaster in the hangar while rey is doing some repairs on the millennium falcon and something maybe explodes a little bit, totally harmless of course, and finn just hurls that blaster like a caber tosser into a group of resistance pilots while screaming REYYYY at the top of his lungs
