Doctor Who had a lesbian of colour leading the show long before the MCU will give us a main protagonist of colour. Doctor Who has canonised the gender-fluidity of it’s titular protagonist long before the DCEU, the MCUandStar Wars have even so much as brought up the concept of gender fluidity/non binary poeple in their movies. People find Doctor Who embarassing bc cringe-culture demands that they hate anything they liked 5 years ago but like whatever? Doctor Who has consistently been at the top of the game in pioneering progressive sci-fi storytelling and yet people are out here mocking a show they don’t even bother to watch anymore, before instead screeching about the fact that “omg Oscar Isaac secretlyplayed romancein his scenes with Finn!!” like??? get out of here.

I really wish people would understand that there are other forms of queer rep besides two same gendered people kissing.
A queer character is queer rep regardless of their romance or a lack thereof even. Ace and aro people exist. Trans people exist. Bi people exist. Queer characters are rep by existing, not just by who they interact with. If a character is nonbinary, they are queer rep whether they kiss someone or not. A bi character in a relationship with someone a different gender is still queer rep because they are still bi. Queer characters can even just be friends with one another. They can be single! And still be queer because that’s who they are not who they do!
This whole trend of deciding if art is valid representation based on romance and ships is reductive and dismissive of identities existing within individuals. And of the communities that we all need.
Just please, stop reducing entire identities down to relationships. Its all good and fun to enjoy your ships, but you have to remember the community is bigger than just romances.

Though Jumin Han is not one to express his feelings or be interested in art for that matter, somehow, she makes seeing both so much clearer.
He can recall the day she entered the RFA chat room, the way she presented herself. He is still amazed with how daring and bold she was. Everyone loves her for it. At the party, she wore a beautiful red dress that flattered her every curve and did wonders for his wandering mind. But it was not her body that truly earned his attention, rather, her charisma; the way she adapted and took advantage of every opportunity. They got along surprisingly well and even scheduled dinners to enjoy together so they could keep in touch. But she was never too close. He knows he is a busy man; he has no time to indulge in romantic affairs. Even with that aside, from his knowledge she does not share the same feelings.
I had an art style crisis and while I generally hate all my art atm I decided to experiment a bit with things and hey, I don’t completely hate the end result! So yay, progress :D
