Sky is very, very important to me!
Lately I’ve noticed a very real problem in the Sky community…
Particularly on the Discord and Reddit (I have much better experiences with Sky Twitter, especially Japanese Sky Twitter)
Players are becoming more and more demanding, rude, and sometimes entirely mean. It’s fine to have opinions and voice them, and to provide feedback, but more frequently I’ve seen people attacking each other over their opinions about the game.
Sky is a gentle game, and it’s supposed to bring people together. Now I feel intimidated to play it at all unless it’s with people I already know… and that goes completely against the point of the game!
I’ve been accused of purposefully trying to demean others just for sharing exciting in-game milestones
I’ve been told to “get over it,” to stop playing Sky completely, or called names because I said the flashing lights of fireworks spam trigger my migraines and make me sick
I’ve seen others called slurs just for liking or disliking certain cosmetics
Don’t get me wrong—I have amazing friends in Sky and I love the experiences I’ve shared with them in-game. But things are getting sour fast, and I hope it will turn positive again soon.
Please remember that the people behind the Skykids you’re playing with are real human beings! And please try to be kind ✨✨
