TFW that moment when you realize that by the end of the movie, all the Turning Red characters map perfectly onto the Derry Girls.
They both have:
- The confident, dorky ringleader with rage and mommy issues.
- Her gay best friend constantly worrying about everything and calling her bff out on her bluffs.
- The chill, cool one constantly bored by everything going on but who wouldn’t hesitate to make things more interesting.
- A pure chaos gremlin that lives for drama and absolutely would bite you to assert dominance.
- The awkward boy tag-along everyone assumes is gay but he’s just happy to be one of the girls.
