It’s been a very long time since I’ve posted art here so take this fanart I did for The Correspondents

Finally, I did a comic again. The text is selected lyrics from “Puppet Loosely Strung” by the Correspondents.

Y'know, normally I don’t pay a ton of attention to lyrics. But sometimes you listen to your Spotify playlist while thinking about funney spam men and narrative parallels, and then suddenly something clicks.

I’ll be honest, I struggled a LOT with this comic. This is my first-ever time putting text in a comic without proper speech bubbles or narration boxes or… anything.

Another big issue was the color palette. This particular song has an atmosphere that practically demands cold blue lighting and dark, dramatic shadows. That… doesn’t always match well with the candy-colored UTDR design aesthetic. I tried, though.
