Reflections on: The House by the Cemetery(1981)

  • The first thing you see in this is boobs.
  • The main child actor is almost too beautiful. He looks like one of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s children. The character he plays is named Bob. This reminded me of a far better movie: Posession (1981) because it also has a young boy character named Bob. You should probably just watch that instead of this!
  • This is one of 3 movies directed by Lucio Fulci from 1981. Maybe this would have been better if he didn’t make so many damned movies. 
  • Too many dolls. Way too many dolls.
  • Everyone wears A LOT of knits. There’s nothing more wholesome than an entire family in turtlenecks! What could go wrong?!
  • The plot is pretty confusing! 
  • Good music.
  • Lots of gross gore :/
