Visiting old notes while on my chemistry revision session. I saw the complete list of subjects that I have to take up this semester and I don’t think I’ll be able to focus on all of them equally if I don’t start reading things in advance.
I’m really excited about starting my second year in college as a psychology major, so I’m going to do things right by working twice as hard!
Good morning! I’m in the college library for an early study session. I got the whole place to myself, so I’m looking forward to spending the next couple of hours in peace and quiet.
I’ve been awake since two in the morning so I ended up planning out the entire week! I’m looking forward to getting all those tiny boxes ticked! #HelloMonday
I’m using my printable* while reviewing for my general psych class! My third column looks quite ridiculous to look at, but hey, it works for some reason!
*My first printable can be found here. I’m overwhelmed with the number of downloads it’s getting. Thank you very much!
Hi Tumblr! I made this post in reply to an anon’s question in my ask box.
I use a total of eight pens for my classes and daily study sessions. I’ve stuck to the same brands since I was in high school, but if you have any suggestions, hit me up! I’d love to try new ones!
Stabilo Swing Cool Pink Highlighter
I use it for textbooks with white paper
The ink lasts for an entire school year (it depends on how much you highlight and how often you use it of course)
It doesn’t leave a mark at the back of thick and smooth paper
It could leave a mark at the back of thin paper
Dong-A Red Fine Tech 0.5 mm
I use it for the headings of my notes
Writes better on smooth paper (not the smooth glossy one!)
Sharpie Smear Guard Yellow Highlighter
I use it for newsprint textbooks
The way the color looks on the paper keeps me awake but it doesn’t hurt my eyes
It doesn’t have that distinct Sharpie marker smell!
Dong-A Black My-Gel XP 0.5 mm
I use it as an alternative for my BIC pen when it runs out of ink
Great for everyday writing
BIC Black Super EZ Smooth Ink 0.7 mm
I use it for everyday writing (I carry three of them in my pencil case)
It doesn’t lose ink even if I write for a long time
It almost looks like you’ve been writing with a fine tech, not a ballpoint pen
Basically, it’s my favorite pen
Smudges when used on smooth paper
Dong-A Blue Fine Tech 0.5 mm
I use it to emphasize important terms or phrases in my notes
Writes better on smooth paper (not the smooth glossy one!)
Unipin 0.3 mm Fine Line Water and Fade Proof Black Pigment Ink
I use it to outline the diagrams, tables and drawings in my notes
Sometimes used with the 0.1 mm and 0.8 mm ones (for artsy reasons)
Dong-A Black Fine Tech 0.5 mm
I use it for writing in my planner because it writes smoothly on the paper (the page from my planner as seen on the picture dates back to October 2014 because it’s the only page that looks really neat)
Wouldn’t it be nice to compile all those terms and concepts you have to learn into one neat sheet?
How can I make the most out of this printable? The third column of the printable labeled “How to remember the term” encourages you to associate the concepts you’re learning to something you are already familiar with in order to improve memory retention. As Julie Neidlinger (2014) put it, “We remember things better by what they are associated with, not by what they are.” So whether it’s a much simpler, synonymous word or a funny story you remembered, if it’s going to help you understand a concept better, write it down!
Options: Terms and Definitions (with cells set to a height of 0.5″, 1″, or 1.5″) Terms, Definitions, and Formulas (with cells set to a height of 1″)
A tagged snapshot of your computer, phone, or study space using these printables will be very much appreciated. (Use #thearialligraphyproject or #arialligraphy!)

Finished this chart a few days ago with all of the U.S. presidents and their major accomplishments! S/O to thearialligraphyproject for this life changing printable which can be found here. I love this thing!
Thank you! I’m glad you found my printable useful! ☺️
Hello, everyone! Many thanks for all the kind words about my first printable! I hope you’ll enjoy using this month’s freebie: a monthly calendar!
I’ve made several options for you to choose from:
a standard calendar layout (with the week starting on a Sunday)
a standard calendar layout (with the week starting on a Monday)
a list layout, where you can write your goals for the month, jot down some notes, and have a longer space to write for each day. Oh, it also has a motivational quote to keep you going throughout the month!
The design is also highly customizable but it can stand alone with its clean black and white scheme!
+ I’d love to see how you use these freebies in your day-to-day activities! Please tag me on Instagram @arialligraphy or use #arialligraphy / #thearialligraphyproject here on Tumblr so that I can feature your post!
Mom: You’re such a pen hoarder! Some of your pens are already running out of ink! Why don’t you dispose them or buy a refill instead of struggling with them and keeping them in your drawer?
Me: I believe that all pens should be able to live their ink life to the fullest.
Mom: Oh, I see. So you’re not a pen hoarder. You’re a crazy pen lady.
#NoStressMonday! I’ll be reading Psychology handouts and my favorite book this morning, then I’ll be taking the rest of the day off for answering asks in my inbox and finalizing printables! Hooray for productivity!
I was messing around with watercolor last night and I wanted to use some of the random things I painted on paper. I’ll release more wallpapers within the week for studyspo, but in the meantime, you can download these two wallpapers for FREE by clicking the following links:
My dad’s engineering notes as requested by an anon (just click on the photo to enlarge). There are still a couple of pages left that I wasn’t able to scan, but if you want to see it, just send me a message. By the way, my dad is elated because his notes made it to Tumblr. I’m pretty sure he already bragged about it to his colleagues.
Hello bookwormevy and dreamcatchingaway! You can find my printables by clicking this link! I also filed it under the tag printables. I only have one as of the moment, but I’m working on my second one already and it’ll be posted soon!
