Hidden Gems by disapparater

Beyond their brilliant username, this author writes the most charming slice-of-life with low-key angst and soft pining. I always find their writing the perfect pick for a rainy day or bedtime read. There are some G stories here which is unusual for me (that makes me love them even more!) and they’re all comfort food but disapparater is quite versatile - I suggest checking their AO3 page for other themes such as horror, memory loss, epistolary etc.

Tread That Fine Line (2014, E, 5k) - hilarious fic with desperately thirsty Harry, oblivious Draco, sex toys and more innuendos than I can count, even the smut is funny!

Harry could cope with being in love with Draco, it was the needing to get fucked by him that was driving Harry insane.

Another Round (2015, T, 5.6k) - best men Drarry, background Ron/Pansy, drinking games, cute oblivious boys falling in love

Instead of the night he expects, Draco gets drinks, crisps, games and Potter.

A Little Understanding(2013, G, 6k) - neighbours AU domesticity, pre-Drarry fluff, Draco in the Muggle world and all that jazz

Everybody needs good neighbours. During a storm, Harry turns to his newest neighbour for help.

The Interest Here (2015, T, 9k) - coffee shop AU, radio host Draco, identity porn, tea & banter!

Draco has his own morning show on the wireless, which he loves; an ambitious assistant, whom he needs; and days in The Tea Shop, where he relaxes. He also has a new caller on the show, whom he finds bloody annoying. Read my rec here.

The Oceans They Did Rise (2016, M, 18k) - the post-war comfort we deserve where tourist Harry and tour guide Draco escape to New Zealand and find the ocean, the garden, peace of mind and each other

Finding post-war life more difficult than he’d imagined, Harry travels halfway around the world to find some peace. He also finds Malfoy, art, adventure, the ocean, and himself. (Not necessarily in that order.)
