my fun little silverflint headcanon is that in like s1, start of s2, I believe Flint fully thought Silver was aware of and okay with his attraction to men bc of how he just seems to obviously flirt with him sometimes or at least give him some too-intense to just be friendly stares and smiles and so flint is like. okay. this dude likes men alright. I still fucking hate his ass but whatever. (thinking of the scene in 2x2 where flint says the ‘if you’re trying to impress me, it isn’t working’, thinking silver was genuinely trying to like. Flirt with him. and being like okay I’m flattered but uh you’re annoying as fuck, still, and also I don’t want to sort out these obvious feelings of attraction I have towards you as well so I‘ll just act annoyed and ignore all that right now) and then only as he gets to know him, realizes that silver fully thinks he is like 100% straight and only attracted to women which he just does not know what to do with
