Janet Cardiff’s The Forty Part Motet (2001) installation at The Cloisters.
I am so happy to have found a few recordings of this installation. I can only imagine how much more incredible it is actually being there in the space. I love when the video pans across some of the different speakers (starting around 0:43) and you can hear the change in voice and voice part. I already have an emotional response to the space, and I’m sure that if I was there in person I would just be floored by it.

I forgot to mention it above, but this is also the first time a contemporary art piece/installation has been shown at The Cloisters. What do you think about the installation?
