Human AU where Laufey and sons are new in the neighbourhood where Odin is a small time gangster or something, rules the place by illegal means but keeps the locals happy with small favours and stuff, and Thor is just a bit of a scrapper, likes to assert his dominance by picking fights with people in the street or in the local pubs. So he’s fighting a lot with Helblindi and Byleistr, and Loki is this pretty young thing that hangs out of the upper window watching, with a lollipop in his mouth or something, and tends to his brothers’ wounds afterwards. And one day when Thor knocks looking for a fight (one of the boys has insulted him) it’s Loki who answers the door.
He’s all big eyes, leaning there against the door frame.
“Which one is it you’re after?”
“Helblindi.”
“…will you hurt him?”
“Yeah.”
“He’s not here.”
“Hm. He back soon?”
Loki shrugs, and Thor leans closer into his space.
“I’ve seen you hanging out of the window up there. I thought you were a girl.”
Loki looks down at his fingernails, affecting boredom, and Thor laughs.
“You love your brother?”
“Of course I do.”
“…if you let me take you out I promise not to hurt him much.”
