Back in September, I volunteered as a social media manager / graphic designer / photographer / merchandise lead for Tip of the Hats.  Having worked with the charity remotely since 2015, this was my first year being on site with production.  In one of our early promo images, we created a Source Filmmaker model based off of the 1977 Polaroid OneStep (which coincidentally matched with the same of the organization we were working with, Camp One Step).

I decided to purchase an actual Polaroid OneStep to shoot with at the event, and our videographer ended up using a few of the photos to tie together our outro video.  It’s definitely an experience learning to use it and waiting for the photos to develop.  The full set of photos are currently being shared on the Tip of the Hats Twitter page.

I did photography again for Tip of the Hats!

We had a few new OWL boys this time around, Custa and Jake (along with our good buds Harsha, Bren, Sideshow, and Clockwork returning)! They were super sweet and kind, Jake talks a million words a second, but they were lovely and we’d love to have them back on our show next year. The t-shirts they are wearing were designed by me, so we did a little photoshoot to promote them.

Full gallery with more of this photoshoot here!

Oh boy… this set of photos is interesting.  We had a ‘Chug Jug Chug Off’ incentive for our Fortnite segment during Tip of the Hats where if we hit a certain amount in donations, the loser duo had to compete to see who could chug our ‘secret slurp juice’ the fastest.  Unfortunately (well fortunately for us, more money for charity!) Wyatt and Matt were the losing duo and had to compete in a battle of fortitude and throat diameter.  We also found it hilarious the lovely Lauren aka Mala was the one refereeing this event, as she is a registered nurse and perhaps the nicest person ever.  I only uploaded a handful to our official gallery, but here are some extras thrown in!

Oh yeah, here’s the full chugging video on Twitch.

I volunteer as the social media and merchandise lead for Tip of the Hats, and am one of the many photographers. We are an annual fundraiser stream on Twitch that benefits Camp One Step by Children’s Oncology Services which offers camps and other educational and excursion programs throughout the year that allow children with cancer to just be kids.

This year we have raised just over $240,000 during our event and with this number this makes a total of an amazing One Million Dollars we have raised cumulatively in our 6 years of activity. This money allows COSI to help more children and their families heal, as well as provide assistance to improving their infrastructure. For example, Camp One Step opened their new Soderquist Lodge earlier this month with partner support. This building features 27 large bedrooms, multiple meeting spaces, handicap accessible bathrooms and with an elevator that can now service campers with accessibility needs.

Quick fashion photoshoot I did for Tip of the Hats!  We had access to a photo studio upstairs and I had Matt model the Outlaws merchandise he graciously brought for us to offer as sweepstakes prizes.  Here are the promo photos we used in our social posts.
