finished tlou 2 some time ago and the ending didn’t really make me feel anything which is pretty depressing considering how attached i am to tlou and ellie? going back to the farm and dina not being there makes absolute sense, i just found weird the entire final part in santa barbara

also ellie being willing to harm lev (although i don’t really think she /meant/ it) just to make abby fight with her? idk idk

another controversial point would probably be joel’s death, i love joel but he’s not one of my favorite video games characters but if he was, i would have definitely found extremely annoying the fact that his death was a plot device like he wasn’t the main character of the first game or something. i haven’t read many theories/metas and stuff so i might change my mind about it in the future with some more reflection

the game has many many good moments, i liked abby (even if i wish i could have played ellie more) and found very interesting the way she mirrored ellie, enjoyed her relationship with owen (!!! angst !!!!) and lev (also yara my baby ), dina and ellie were amazing, some scenes were just a masterpiece, but overall i feel like something about the story kinda missed the mark completely?
