When You Plan a Whole Proposal Party But Nobody Pays Attention to the Proposal (or the vegan cuisine)

Previous Gen | Toni Shimazaki (née Barnet) - Gen 2 | Next Gen

Creative, Proper, Mediator, Outgoing, Simlish Native

After her mother’s death, Toni Barnet began a new life in Mt. Komorebi. She made friends everywhere she went; one of which was recent divorcee Shimazaki Ozuru. Though he was hesitant to try love again, the two quickly fell in love, married, and had a son Giichi.

Her stressful job as a Diplomat[@adeepindigo] left her family feeling her absence. Feeling like a failure, Ozuru quietly asked for a separation and custody of Giichi. At Giichi’s 12th birthday party a couple years later, Ozuru and Toni rekindled their relationship and Jay was born shortly after.

  • Children:2
  1. Heir: Shimazaki Giichi
  2. Spares: Shimazaki Jay
  • Marital Status:Second Chance - Your heir must obtain two live-in partners during the course of the generation.
  1. Partner 1: Shimazaki Ozuru
  2. Partner 2: Shimazaki Ozuru
  • Generational Goal: Midlife Crisis - This generation, one of the heir, spouses - including second chances or helpers will experience a randomly generated midlife crisis event.
  1. Have a romantic crisis. Your sims’ love life is thrown into turmoil. Perhaps they meet a new lover, cheat on their spouse, or simply have a falling out with a long-time partner. This must begin within 48 hours, but doesn’t have to resolve ever.
  • Miscellaneous Fun: Skiing Fanatics - Take the whole family for skiing in the mountains every week.
  • Notes: I combined the results of “Second Chance” marital status and the “Midlife Crisis” generational goal, so that Toni and her husband Ozuru got divorced, lived apart, and re-married.

A Trip to Mt. Komorebi

Naomi: (in Komorebigo) You’re my otōto-oji [parent’s younger brother]? Why haven’t we met before, Ojisan[uncle]?

Jay:We’ve met, kid. Hey, your Komorebigo is actually pretty good.

Naomi: I speak it with chichi [my dad], and with otōto-tachi [younger brothers]. (shrugs) They don’t really speak.

Jay: (impressed) Mm. (trying to appear unaffected) I mean, a monkey could do it.

Naomi: You know a monkey that speaks Komorebigo?

Toni: (in Simlish) Welcome, welcome! You must have had a long trip.

Ozuru: You can rest now; we’ll keep the children.

Billie: Well, I’ve never been outside of San Myshuno, but I’m already in love with Wakaba. Thank you for having us, Mr. and Mrs. Shimazaki.

Ozuru: Don’t be silly, Billie; you call me “otōsan.” [Father]

Toni: And you can just call me ‘Toni.’
