Rose’s study abroad in Paris, organized by Rose Hale
Hey everyone! On Thursday this last week I was admitted to go on an a study abroad trip in Paris, France. You all probably know I’ve been dreaming of going to France since I was really young, and now I get to live in France for 4 months to immerse myself into the language and explore the culture.
I have been learning French for nearly 6 full years and absolutely love it, I look forward to the opportunity to really practice my French. I know it’ll be hard but I believe the blessings will far out weigh the struggle.
As a lot of you may know, I was considering serving a church mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 18 months. I had a long talk with God about it, and though it might not make sense, I know this is what I’m supposed to do right now, that doesn’t mean a mission is completely off the table — I plan to resume what I started when I get back — but something’s waiting for me in France now, and it might be confusing but I’m going to find what it is.
While I’m studying in France I will be staying with a host family on the outskirts of Paris. My trip costs $9000 (but I’m only asking for help on $1000) which includes tuition, breakfast every day and 3 dinners a week. It also pays for my bus and metro passes, and a few class excursions. This does not include my airfare, lunch every day and the other 4 dinners, or any extra fun things I might want to do. I’ve been applying for all the scholarships under the sun, but I have a lot of money to make before September 7th so any little contribution would be appreciated. I love you all and thank you for your time and consideration.
