For many backpackers, having to join a tour group to visit a country is considered unacceptable. Photographing women is a difficult task for a male photographer traveling in more conservative countries. I can either try and sneakily take a candid or ask directly. Not wanting to disrespect anyone, I usually choose the latter option. I am often refused however, the reason being that they are Muslim or have overprotective husbands. Despite this, I continue to ask, the worst thing they can say is no.
In Rawanduz I again approached a group of women sitting in the shade. The elderly women quickly said no, saying that they were Muslim. I nearby woman called me over and allowed me to photograph her. She then led me to her family graveyard, plucked a flower and laid against the gravestone. I can only assume that the grave is that of her husband, this possibly a reason as to why she agreed to be photographed. Her tenderness and hospitality humbled me. I thanked her repeatedly for her openness. Before I left she handed me the flower and said goodbye. Seeing her was definitely a touching and moving experience, which shows a country still in the process of healing.

很多人認為舊就必是壞的，也是過時的、凌亂的。 卻它有一種獨特的味道，有著耳目一新異曲曲同工的感覺。 可能菲林相機和古著令我改變了這想法， 學會怎樣去欣賞還有著生命力的物件。
這次我親臨一個異地的二手市場 - 翟道翟playground市集，發覺原來泰國曼谷的市場生態都很多元化，古董商場外圍有大大小小的地㰙，在香港的確是不容許的景像。 我實在太好奇走了去尋寶，一行便大半個小時了，有好幾件擺設我差一點點就買下，又是有限的居家空間不而再不經精心考慮去容納。 隨後我走進商場打算找地方坐下休息一會，一樓二樓都是大型古董和傢具的店舖，本來打算回程去晩謄，再多上一層便離開，誰不知我喜歡的一間又一間古著店竟在我眼前，越行越入就越大間，結果還選上了一件十分喜歡的，價錢更是便宜到我不相信了。

原定打算在熱天前月尾再遊泰國另一城市清邁，因突然其來的肺炎疫情要取消行程，話雖可惜，再等一會去期待一下可能我會有更滿足的收穫。 希望香港繼續守好和自救自強。

Crazy how all the beautiful leaves that surround Tokyo and Japan in general will be gone soon! I wanted to go to Kyoto to see the autumn leaves, but it didn’t work out this time. Luckily, there are some amazing places around Tokyo to check out. Also I feel like as a child I never cared about any of this, but as an adult it’s pretty nice going with friends and walking around [also my friend is a freak about trees so I’m being dragged to many different places as well ]

Finally had some bubble tea after a looooooooooooong dry spell. Thank you to @gabbykalman and @stephz.13 for picking some up for me after your long ass trip home . I always seem to go with Taro or some variation of mango and that tends to be it. I think I need to branch out more haha. And yes, we still have Christmas decorations up and they will only come down once we move…..in the next few years…maybe…
