Cause it’s 2am and I’m going through a Trobed brainrot
Okay, so it’s immediately obvious what the joke’s going to be, right? It’s gonna cut to the rest of the group, and each of the potential couples are gonna make ‘googly eyes’ at each other - there may or may not be a “silly” one at the end
Let’s see what actually happens:
Okay, so far, so expected
1) Annie and Jeff look at each other - duh, they’re the will-they-won’t-they the show’s trying to peddle right now
2) Annie then looks down - they’re currently at a won’t-they, and she doesn’t have any other potential love interests right now (Cause the writers are too cowardly to push Annie x Britta)
3) Jeff then looks at Britta - again, makes sense, given that they were hooking up until recently
4) Britta turns away from Jeff to look at Troy - she’s done with Jeff and she and Troy are the new couple the show’s trying to set up
5) Note that Troy is already looking at Britta - probably cause he seems more interested in her than she is in him right now (See: him checking her out as she goes to the bathroom in Timeline 5)
Now things get interesting
Troy turns away from Britta to look at Abed, and Abed is already looking at Troy
Okay, so this is the silly one, right? This is the end of the joke? The punchline?
Except no
This is the punchline. This is the silly one. The shot ends here, and this is where it pauses for a laugh
So by the logic the joke was going for, Abed is already interested in Troy at this point; and either Troy is too, has been at some point, or will be in future
“I’m… “Hector the Well-Endowed”?? Abed?!” -Annie “I didn’t know you’d grab one at random. I made that one with Troy in mind” -Abed -2x14 Advanced Dungeons & Dragons
Abed??? C’mon, you can’t just say things like that and not expect follow-up questions
(Also shout out to Shirley’s “Yeah, I bet you did” in the background)
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, these three are the best and I wish they’d had more screentime together as a trio. Having them live in the same apartment for more than two seasons and not seeing more of their shenanigans was a bummer. Oh well, that’s what fanfiction is for LOL
This episode made me cry, no lie. Troy’s departure was a sad one to see and knowing that their duo would be split up indefinitely broke my heart. That being said, seeing them together again during the table read was amazing! I literally squealed when they did their handshake through the camera LOL

There are so many great episodes of Community but I think one of my favorite ones will always be the two part season two paintball finale. But let’s not lie, the paintball episodes are always epic. Also, these three have my heart, they were so funny and cute together and I wish they’d had more stories as a trio.
I really love Community and this duo was iconic. I was so glad when Netflix finally put Community up and I ended up re-binging the entire series in like a few days. It basically reignited my love for these two and we as a society do not appreciate them enough (Please do not repost my art, thank you)
