1000 Followers Gift Poll
Time for another poll! I hit this milestone faster than I thought I would.
This poll has only ten options this time. I felt there were too many last time and it became confusing. The selections are a combination of losing items from the last poll and new ideas I have had since then. I no longer have hats on the poll as I find I’ll make them whether or not you vote for them. Also, the woman’s overalls that came in 2nd in the last poll are currently on my to-do list, but I probably won’t finish them until a few months from now.
The winning item I will make inSeptember of this year. I don’t anticipate having a lot of time this month.
Below the cut you will find larger pictures and descriptions. I felt like the wider image items had an advantage in the last poll. So now you can see the pictures in full-size.
The poll has closed, and the winner has been decided.
The 1916 Dinner Dress (“Happiness” by Lucile)!
I’m actually a bit surprised that this one won to be honest. I was sure the maternity dress would win, since I’ve seen a lot of dismay about how there isn’t one. But flashy evening wear won out, I guess. :)
It won pretty handily, though the maternity dress and the Norfolk boys’ suit were both ahead of it on day one, it consistently got a lot of votes during the week and pulled ahead. It won with 29 votes, while the maternity dress had 22 and the boys’ suit had 18. Those were the top three items. Oddly enough, the three shoes all tied with 4 votes for the lowest item… its odd how shoes tend to be my highest downloads but no one votes for them in these polls.
This dress will have to have transparency, so I’m not sure if it will work in laptop mode, by the way. Sorry about that, just the limitations of the game! It also may take me a bit longer as I have never meshed transparent pieces before, though I do understand the principle.

Norfolk Suit for Boys, 1910s-1920s - This was a fairly common boy’s outfit during the late Edwardian period into the 1920s. The Norfolk jacket is a belted style that was commonly worn as sportswear (for adult men) and everyday-wear for boys. An adult version exists (by happylifesims), but none for boys.
Middy Blouses (for adult/teen females), 1900s-1920s - Middy blouses (from “midshipman”) or sailor collar blouses were popular activewear for women from the late 1890s into the mid 20th century. The version I would make would probably work from 1900 to the late 1920s.
Maternity Dress, 1900s - This would simply be an Edwardian dress with a slightly raised waistline. I’m not sure exactly what form it would take, but I feel there is a desire for this item for decades gameplay. The pictures shows a few examples I have found.
Sportswear Jacket/Sweater, 1910s - This tied-waist jacket was a common style of the mid-1910s. I would make a knit sweater and a twill fabric version from the same base as a separate to go over skirts.
“Happiness” Dinner Dress, 1916 - I have received a few requests to remake this dress I made for the Sims 2 back in 2012, or something like it. Now you can decide! This dress was designed by Lady Duff-Gordon (Lucille), the famous Titanic lifeboat-hogging (allegedly) fashion designer in 1916. (Note: This dress would be made with transparency and therefore might not work in laptop mode).
Swimsuit, 1918 - This would fill in that gap between the Edwardian swimsuits and the 1920s ones. Sleeveless and a lot more casual than the Edwardian ones, but maintaining the modest skirt.
Lace Dress, 1930s - An interesting design in a style I haven’t seen much CC in. I don’t know much about the provenance of this particular dress, but it’s lovely. That almost invisible inset on the bodice makes it so very thirties!
French Heel Oxfords (Similar to American Duchess “Londoner”), 1890s-1920s - Would probably be a combination of the new Cottage Living oxfords and the flat ones from Get Together/Get Famous.
French Heel Button Boots (Similar to American Duchess “Manhattan”), 1890s-1920s
T-strap French heels, 1920s - 1920s party shoes in a popular style.
