Posepack 24: Pose Request 5

A mini posepack made as a request for @thesimnova . Please do check out her absolutely BEAUTIFUL story (full chapters also available to read for free on Patreon)! Thank you for allowing me to use one of your edits as the cover photo!

There are two variations involved here. The first has a slightly different expression/arm and leg placement for Character B. The second has two hand widths for Character A - the first is for a bare arm, the second is specifically made to fit the sleeves of this coatby@strangestorytellersims. 

The poses are made for the Realm Of Magic bench and you may need to TOOL things around for use on other seats.

New posepack: Heightened Emotions

So this was actually a request that WitchySims made aaaages ago (if you haven’t read her Sims story, you really must!! It’s beautiful!). I should point out that requests do not normally receive so many poses but I liked the idea and, well, 70 poses was the minimum amount I could do it with…

So what we have here are three mix and match packs. There is a subtle height difference between all three, and I’ve divided them into short, standard, and tall. There are only 10 emotions but the standard height has looking down, looking ahead, and looking up variations; the short and tall packs have looking up and looking ahead, and looking down and looking ahead, respectively. They’re all unisex.

I imagine most people will only need the standard height pack, but the others are there if you like to use height differences in your storytelling. 

I don’t know that it’s perfect, but after making the 10 poses, adjusting a further 60 variations, checking all 70 in game, and trying to make the packs themselves easily accessible, I’m calling it good enough and going to lie down in a dark corner somewhere. 

While making them it did occur to me that what would be REALLY useful would be to have talking and listening versions (these are all talking), and looking left and right versions… but maybe that’s for a future project lmao.

New posepack: #22 You’ve Broken Him

A fairly large posepack, but these were all made for the same sequence so I figured I might as well pack them up together. It has 5 single poses, 6 couple poses, and 3 poses for a group of three - that’s 26 poses in total! I made them with a wall/door but it’s really only the solo poses that are leaning against it. The rest can be placed anywhere. 

I’ve been through and adjusted these so they will hopefully work for a range of Sims, but there might be some minor clipping depending on clothing or body shapes.

Alright, Tumblr didn’t like these two being used for my previous spicy posepack so we’ll just stick with the cover photo and see if it stays up.

9 couple poses inspired by scenes from the 1995 stop-animation, Achilles. Place two teleports in the middle of a double bed. The poses are made with masc rigs, but I’ve tested with M/F too and seems to work fine!

Posepack #20: Carrying poses

A pose request for @izayoichan featuring some sweet carrying poses. If you’re paying attention to the numbers - I haven’t misnumbered this, Request #3 is being used for a story so I won’t be sharing it until its had its debut!

As a note, pose 6 was inspired by this painting of the Three Graces by Valeria Duca. It is unisex but there might be some clipping on the middle Sim’s left arm if they’re masc frame and/or wearing bulky clothing. Oh… and while I’m excusing my poor posemaking skills, pose 5 is designed for the base game bench. 

New posepack: I Love You Forever

This was a pose request from @lilsebbyevans , but I forgot to put my usual pose request cover on it… it’s unimportant really. 

Poses 1-4 were made specifically for the request, and work best with a three-seater sofa though you can probably wiggle things around to fit a two-seater. The rest are standard-rig versions of poses I’d made for my story and thought they fit the theme!

Please note that there were some changes to arm position for poses 7-8. The Blender previews are how they look now, the screenshots are the original versions that were used in my story. I just couldn’t be bothered to take more pictures and edit them again lmao.

New posepack: Wedding Day

A request from Bogg’s Legacy Sims on Instagram for some wedding poses! I wouldn’t normally do so many for a request, but I got carried away because I’m a massive romantic sap. This is also why I took a ridiculous amount of screenshots myself (below cut). 

Here we have a few father of the bride moments (or, in my case, undead adopted vampire dad), supportive best man, and some bride and groom cuteness.

The two poses with a bouquet require the waterfall bouquetfrom@melonsloth​ , but I imagine they will work with others too.

There will be some clipping with larger dresses unfortunately (and number 9 is really only for trouser suits or close-ups). As this is a wedding pack I did umm and ahh about trying to make versions that would accommodate floofier skirts, but so many of these poses wouldn’t be possible if I had to pose them further apart… in real life, of course, skirts can be pushed in a little bit. So if your Sim has a big dress you may need to be clever with your angles!

New posepack: Protective (Updated)

Alright, last one for a while I think. I’ll try not to sit on so many in the future lmao.

For my 30th posepack, I did a remake of my first posepack because a) it needed it and b) @izayoichan asked a while ago if I knew of any height difference poses where the shorterSim was being the protective one. I did not! So I made one. I’ve been intending to do this with some spicy poses for a while now (this was my original intention behind the You’re Home posepack, and why there’s a height difference in it), but here’s a family friendly version to start with. 

There’s only a subtle height difference, but if you use height sliders this may affect how the poses line up with each other.

New posepack: I Can’t Protect You From This

Day 2 of me dropping all the posepacks I’ve had sitting around for no reason: this set from the current chapter of my Sims story (read it here if you’re mad). Just in case you, too, have one partially paralysed Sim and another one undergoing an existential crisis. 

These were made with custom rigs but I went through them all and pasted onto standard rigs, then adjusted hands like I usually do in order to give you a bit of leeway with clothing/build - but of course there may still be some clipping or floating.

New posepack: Werewolf Bite

Alright, there’ll be a few packs being released over the next few days because I’ve been sitting on them for absolutely no reason. This one was a request for my friend Simproper, who needed these poses for her machinima* ‘Werewolf of Simdon, part two’ (she also supplied the preview pictures). Go and watch it! She’s soooo good at these stories!

* For clarity: these are static poses, not animations.

I also made a verrrryyy basic bitemark for the left hand which wasn’t used in the end, but I thought I’d include it anyway in case it was useful to someone. It’s in the tattoo category.

New posepack: Picnic Table pose request

I’m going to stop numbering my requests and only number posepacks now, because I often hold packs back until they’ve featured in stories and then I get very confused with the numbering. I’m not very smart you see. (:

Anyway! A request for my very good friend TheSimmerKay, who also supplied the preview images for this pack. You can read her story here on Instagram! It is SO good. The cast are wonderful (even ‘innocent’ Manny up there lmaaaaoo). This was one of the first Sims stories I ever started reading - I didn’t even know Sims stories were a thing back then - and without her encouragement I would never have started my own… which means I also wouldn’t have started making poses. :o 

Made with masc rigs using the base game picnic table, just place four teleporters in the middle of the table.
