As you may already know, the 10th anniversary of Psycho-Pass is happening on the 11th (12th in the West) of October, 2022! To celebrate this, we’re organizing a Digital Zine that will showcase our love for the show and its characters!

The project is at its earliest stages: we’re firming up timelines, resources, mods and of course, the overarching theme for this digital zine. Soon, we will open applications for contributors, so watch this space!

We’re excited to get this going and we hope you help spread the word!

Yuki, Kaori, & Akane were CRAZY Students

They did some dumb shit in their teenage years (and would’ve probably continued…)

Like, their theme song would be “Go Hard (La La La)” by Kreayshawn with Yuki in the lead, Akane as support for both helping & saving, while Kaori is dragged along trying to be the logical one (she likes it though the liar).

Basically, the girl version of Sasayama, Kougami, & Ginoza team.

One such adventure was recreating “Scots in an Automated Elevator” bc Aka & Yuki have language electives together cuz they nerds, while Kaori does technical. The elevators have been considered cursed since then

Akane Knows Sign

She learned it for funsies really. There’s just something amazing abt a language that can be so expressive without needing sound to convey it. [Edit: Yuki got her interested since she’s a language nerd.] Since it’s rarely used in her society, she uses it to her advantage.

Whenever she gets annoyed by Ginoza or frustrated by Kougami’s recklessness, Akane’ll just rant behind them. She’s practically yelling at them yet they have no clue (It doesn’t help that she’s figured out the quirks of body language and the ‘I’m innocent’ look.)

Shion finds this hilarious and proceeds to record each act. Kunizuka says nothing but is also entertained.

Later on, Kagari finds out and practically blackmails Aka to teach him. She does. This becomes interesting due to how he also rants at Gino (not Kou bc no) but it’s to his face… while expressionless. Needless to say, Gino wondered if he was having a seizure or possessed for a while.

Jokes aside, both he and Aka utilize it a lot, kinda like a secret language just for them. They use it for funsies, during missions, or just across the office to check the other. (Kagari also realizes how helpful it is when he loses his voice and is too stressed to properly deal with it.)

Masaoka finds this amusing. He doesn’t really do anything when he sees her ranting bc he knows his son and Kou and their ability to rile ppl up. It’s also cute to see this small munchkin pout and back talk behind these 2 clueless grown men.

Kougami and Ginoza are, as said previously, clueless to all this. It takes them a good while to realize that a new language is cleverly keeping them out conversations. Even then, it’s Shion who ultimately tells them. (Gino is conflicted with the fact that Aka thinks he’s a ‘beautifully dignified awkward man.’ Kou’s intrigued by the fact she sees him as an ‘intelligent dumbass’ and mad that he missed out on muchkin pouting.)
