Gaza is being bombed again. It’s the same cycle of violence that happened last year, when Gaza endured a 11 day siege. First, the IOF deploys its forces on Al Aqsa, attacking and blocking access by worshippers. Then when Hamas retaliates, they bomb Gaza.

It’s inhumane. Palestinians have no one to recurr to inside their land but themselves. People in Gaza are trapped by the gigantic wall built around land and sea, not even able to flee and seek refuge because the two routes out of the wall are controlled by Israel or Egypt.

In Jerusalem, Palestinians were trapped inside the mosque and kept locked at the whim of the IOF soldiers, screaming out of the megaphones for the rest of the city to defend the mosque, while settlers walked around the courtyard chanting for a second Nakba and shouting Abu Khdair’s name, the 14 year old teen who was kidnapped and burned alive by settlers.

[ID: a video showing an IOF soldier stationed at the doors of the Al Qibli mosque in Al Aqsa, locked from the outside. You can hear screams from inside the mosque and people banging on the doors demanding to get out. The soldier stays impassive, and when she sees she’s being recorded, sighs and shifts from one feet to the other / end id]

I’ll leave this tweet here for anyone who feels powerless in front of these news. Direct action and protesting are options. Educating yourself and working to dismantle the propaganda machine in any way you can is the work you can do. Muna El Kurd has said that even tweeting helps to raise awareness to their cause.

tweet by Mr_Max_Geller reading "Everytime I see a clip of Babylonian stormtroopers defiling Al Aqsa, or read about a teenage martyr, I feel angry and sad and proud of the Resistance. But ever since I joined @pal_action, one thing these extended episodes of colonial brutality no longer make me feel is powerless."ALT
