Someone I know recently told me all “real runners” wear shorts in the dead of winter. Well, I’m sorry, but if wearing 6 layers and a massive scarf in a race makes me not a tough enough runner then please disregard the fact I ran 26.2 miles one month ago ‘cause clearly I missed the “real runner” memo I’ll gladly keep my hand warmers and double leggings over being “tough” any time.
