May 9-13 is when official mention of pickup or decline will come for the Winchesters. And of course reitterated at the upfronts May 19.
However, there’s a few public signs you can glean:
- The Winchesters crew all has branded swag
- TheBatwomanandLoT cancellations free 2 WB content slots, while WB is pitching WinchestersandGotham Knights. Math. (No, CBS hasn’t announced cancelling 4400 or Dynasty yet.)
We know others, like Walker Independence, just did their limited screeners, so it looks like that’s what CBS is discussing right now–if it’s worth it to let go of the other franchises. Also there’s the CBS Nancy Drew spinoff to consider, so really CBS needs 2 cancellations too.
Expect the upfronts to be more about who *renanceled* and got final seasons, among which I imagine Legacies to be one.
