What shapes and stories do you see in the seeds and stones he uses to weave his tales?

“What shapes and stories do you see in the seeds and stones he uses to weave his tales?” !!! Brilliant!!! I love the composition and effects on these floating seeds and stones! It gives me even more ideas to flesh out my character, how his Mime performance seems supernatural to some Gelflings. And his face is so chef kiss!!! I always love how you draw UrRus and this isn’t an exception! I love the gentle, mysterious and tired expression he has, you captured his character so well and his boopable nose!

I created SkekSard a long time ago…but I never did his UrRu/Mystic! What a mistake! So here he is:

Unlike his wordy counterpart, UrDahr is mute. The only sounds indicating his presence are the rattles on his walking stick, and the tinkling of the stones hanging on his hair and arms. But sometimes they can be mistaken for the whisper of a breeze or the song of a river. 

He shares with his Skeksis half his proximity with Gelflings, but he never interferes in their lives, they just find their way to him and him to them. They seek for his help, either for their journeys or trivial issues in their lives, but sometimes they just want to see a tale being told. For UrDahr, words can’t express everything and can be misguiding. As a mime, he tells his stories moving his long arms and hands, sometimes using stones and sticks he found and carries in his wanderings. While SkekSard inject ideas in Gelfling minds, he prefers letting them draw their own conclusions and find answers in themselves. 

Rare are those who crosses his path. He is even seen as a legend in some Gelfling towns and villages. The Dousans are the ones who knows him the most as the Crystal Desert is UrDahr’s favorite place. When he is not wandering through Thra, he often spend his nights near the Dousan’s Wellspring in a cave made of crystals. He enjoys their culture of silence and their Elder’s stories. The mystery surrounding this clan becomes his own, his silent presence hidden in the endless desert. 

I wanted to draw SkekSard and UrDahr together for quite a while so @createforthra was a great opportunity! It was meant to fit Day 7′s theme of unity but it can work for Day 5′s division too. Depends on how you see it! 

As both are face to face, I wanted to highlight how their overall head shapes are similar. There’s a page on The World of the Dark Crystal that shows how both counterparts were meant to have these similarities…It’s not very respected in the movie/show, but I kinda did it here because it was a cool idea. They are the same being, after all. They are SardDahr the UrSkek!
